Representative Projects

Grantee Assessment:

Grant Street Consulting (GSC) worked with a foundation to assess impact and reveal both intended and unintended impact on a diverse cross-section of grantees.  Simultaneously, the approach built trust and revealed insight on how the foundation’s work influenced  community’s identity. Multiple stakeholder groups were engaged in assessing historic impact informing future grantmaking strategy and planning.

This led to a second client contract where GSC guided the foundation through a strategic planning process resulting in shared, actionable goals under new leadership.

Program Assessment:

The Community Foundation’s Center for Healthy Nonprofits is almost five years old. GSC carried out a qualitative assessment, engaging nonprofit leaders and consultant collaborators, the results of which were used to inform the board of directors , a private foundation and prospective donors.  (embed video).

GSC provided an assessment for a private company that promotes a nonprofit lifecycles model which creates long-term sustainability and efficacy for the nonprofit sector.

Grant Street provided assessment on a private foundation-funded cohort model with an aim to share the model with other foundations interested in supporting capacity building for organizational cohorts.

Global Training in Ripple Effects Mapping:

GSC designed and provided a customized Ripple Effects Mapping training to approximately 20 Monitoring and Evaluation Professionals representing 11 countries for a global organization which supports communities and governments to enhance social sustainability by promoting inclusion, resilience and empowerment.

Organizational 360 and Strategic Planning:

GSC carried out an organizational 360 assessment for a foundation, engaging five primary stakeholder groups to inform existing strengths and emerging priority areas. GSC further executed a series of surveys, Ripple Effects Mapping Sessions and retreats.

This process also resulted in a re-energized board with an appetite for a robust strategic planning process.

GSC then led a second client contract facilitating an engaged and informed strategic planning process, resulting in a living document and action plan that facilitates communication and organizational growth.

 Team Identity and Team Building:

Provided a series of mapping sessions to help a team with new leadership define a new identity rooted in shared values, shared understanding and shared vision.
